Pastor William E. Barr was born in Richmond, Virginia.  He was raised in Sixth
Street Baptist Church under the pastoral ship of Rev. Joseph Arrington.  Now
residing in Riverdale, Maryland, Bishop Barr received his formal education in the
Richmond Public School system, and furthered his education at the Washington
Bible College in Lanham, Maryland and the Bible Way Education Center.  He
has spent most of his adult life at Bible Way Temple on New Jersey Avenue
under the pastoral ship of Apostle S.E. Williams.  He is a member of the Bible
Way General Board of Bishops serving as Director of Finance of the National
Finance Committee and the Ordination Committee.  He also serves as the
District Bishop of the New Vision #1 Diocese.
Bishop Barr met his wife, First Lady Cathryn Barr, at Bible Way Temple.  On
December 22nd, they celebrated 45 years of marriage.  They are the blessed
parents of four beautiful grown daughters, grandparents of five beautiful
grandchildren, and two wonderful son-in-laws, all of which are in church.  Bishop
Barr is the proud pastor of Community Holiness Church located at 305 K Street,
N.E., Washington, DC, where he has served for 20 years.  The most important
characteristic of Bishop Barr is that he is a child of the King and is enjoying his
trip to Heaven.
