| Pastor William E. Barr was born in Richmond, Virginia. He was raised in Sixth Street Baptist Church under the pastoral ship of Rev. Joseph Arrington. Now residing in Riverdale, Maryland, Bishop Barr received his formal education in the Richmond Public School system, and furthered his education at the Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland and the Bible Way Education Center. He has spent most of his adult life at Bible Way Temple on New Jersey Avenue under the pastoral ship of Apostle S.E. Williams. He is a member of the Bible Way General Board of Bishops serving as Director of Finance of the National Finance Committee and the Ordination Committee. He also serves as the District Bishop of the New Vision #1 Diocese. Bishop Barr met his wife, First Lady Cathryn Barr, at Bible Way Temple. On December 22nd, they celebrated 45 years of marriage. They are the blessed parents of four beautiful grown daughters, grandparents of five beautiful grandchildren, and two wonderful son-in-laws, all of which are in church. Bishop Barr is the proud pastor of Community Holiness Church located at 305 K Street, N.E., Washington, DC, where he has served for 20 years. The most important characteristic of Bishop Barr is that he is a child of the King and is enjoying his trip to Heaven. |
